Ronnies of Thornbury fine dining restaurant

I am delighted to be the new featured artist at the award winning Ronnies of Thornbury. I successfully hung 13 paintings of various size, format and materials this week. My work covers the main restaurant, bar and upstairs dining area. My work consist of diptychs, oil paintings on burlap, aluminium & plywood also a framed piece on paper.

The richness of the colours on different surfaces have transformed the restaurant into a vibrant atmospheric dining experience.

Please do visit for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a coffee. You will be looked after very well.

Open studios

I am opening my studio to the public for the first time. Showcasing a selection of my latest paintings and drawings from a large body of work titled ‘Transition of Place, paintings, 2016’. From 29 April to 8 May as part of the Severn Vale art trail 2016. Please do come. All welcome.

Group Exhibition

Thank you to Roz and Sarah at Sightlines projects for curating ‘cre-eight’. A group exhibition showcasing works of Bath Spa MA Fine Art alumni 2015 at Walcot Chapel Gallery Bath. It was really good to see my paintings exhibited in such a beautiful building with other emerging artists paintings, installations and sculpture.

Studio Assessment Preparation.

Using the wall as my canvas I played with sitting surfaces next to each other,  re-arranging them to explore different thoughts and meanings. I have focused on selecting and presenting work that best represents my intention, the allusion of place with a deep sense of feeling and emotion. I have learnt that the space changes the work. I have arrived at two separate assemblages that are in conversation, representing where I am now. It was important to include elements from and of place.
