Today I rearranged my work to take a step back to allow reflection. 
Oil paint glazes on aluminium.
I added beeswax to Purple Lake to make a buttery consistency and these denser areas of paint really stand away from the glaze.
Oil paint on aluminium & oil paint on burlap
Oil paint on canvas & oil paint and burlap on plywood.

More minimal, quieter and reflective. It looks very exciting and haptic
Perhaps even look at Julian Schnabel, hold your horses, only where he indents the surface of the board, he is hit and miss and so full of himself but no denying he sometimes is profound
